Date with more clarity about the person, and about yourself.

The question I hear most from people who are dating is some version of “am I attracted enough.” It's a real question, and I don't think it's the one to decide on. What I look at is quieter: do you enjoy being close to this person, and do you both have the emotional skills to build something once the attraction settles into ordinary life.

It's the same method I teach to professionals, written here for you and your own life. It's coaching and education, not a substitute for professional care.

The question underneath

The question you come in with, and the one worth asking instead.

  • Dating With Clarity

    “Am I attracted enough?”

“Do I actually enjoy being close to this person?”

  • Getting Ready for Relationships

“Will this relationship make me happy?”

“Do I have the emotional skills to build something healthy with another person?”

What’s inside

  1. Part 1

    Dating With Clarity

We start with what you feel when you are actually with someone, apart from the pull of attraction. You'll practice asking whether you enjoy being close to this person, and what that tells you about whether to keep going.

  2. Part 2

    Getting Ready for Relationships

This part turns to you. How do you handle closeness, disappointment, and being known? The aim is to build the emotional skills a healthy relationship asks for, whoever you end up with.

What people say

  • “I was 34 and honestly starting to believe marriage just wasn’t going to happen for me. Dating had become exhausting, and I didn’t trust myself anymore. Working with Rabbi Dr. Weinberg changed the way I dated and, more importantly, the way I saw myself. A few months later I met the man I’m now engaged to. I still can’t believe I get to write that sentence.”

    Dating, now engaged

  • “By the time I started working with Dr. Weinberg, I had gone on so many dates that I was completely burnt out. He helped me stop looking for some imaginary ‘perfect feeling’ and start seeing what actually matters in a relationship. He pushed me when I needed pushing and calmed me down when I was getting in my own way. I’m engaged now, and I genuinely don’t think I would have gotten here without those conversations.”
